Our Builders Club has been active throughout the holiday season and prior, working the concessions at the Middle School Basketball Games. Under the supervision of Kiwanis Advisors Jim Porter and Rick Blum, and also Club Advisor Lyda Schilling, the students have done an outstanding job in organizing and carrying out this ambitious undertaking, from planning the menu being sold to the set up, selling and cleanup at each event. These are special individuals who are to be applauded for their time and commitment to their club!
Also, the Club had over a dozen students volunteer at our Annual Senior Citizens Dinner on December 3rd, at The Kirtland Community of Christ Hall. They helped out with an assortment of duties ranging from seating, to serving to clearing and cleanup.
In addition to an already hectic schedule the group also volunteered at the Breakfast With Santa Day on December 5th at The Kirtland Community Center, where they served pancakes and worked in the Santa Shop.
THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
The Key Club spent the month of December preparing for the Kirtland Area Service Council Food Basket Drive. The members collected a large amount of various food and paper items, through a drive at the high school, and helped in the organization and assembly of the baskets on December 11th as well as the delivery of them on December 12th. This service by a very special community organization is a massive undertaking each year and we are proud of our Key Club members for their part in its success!
